About the Project

Weaze is a mobile application that consolidates all your travel needs in one place – from booking services and deals to transportation wayfinding, reviews, and even connecting you with locals at your destination. It strikes the perfect balance between spontaneity and planning.

Problem Statement

Travelling and all the preparation it entails isn’t always straightforward for most people. It involves a great deal of planning, booking, research, and more. Additionally, security remains one of the most crucial considerations when travelling.

Challenges

There are already similar apps on the market, and one of the challenges was to focus on a specific pain point. Based on user research and identifying key needs, it became clear that security is the greatest concern when travelling, particularly when travelling alone.

Solutions

I developed a way to connect travellers with their loved ones back home by automatically sending notifications when certain checkpoints occur (e.g., picking up a car from the rental place, checking into a hotel, boarding a flight, etc.).

Features

Learnings

It’s important not to overload an application with too many features. It’s more effective to focus on addressing a specific pain point and solving it thoroughly, rather than cluttering the app with features that users may not actually need or use.
